ABOUT BEE SWEET HONEY JAMAICA
A Jamaican Beekeeping, Herbal & Sustainability Project

Bee Sweet Honey Jamaica is a Jamaica-based beekeeping, herbal education, and sustainability platform founded by Yanique White. The website shares practical, experience-based knowledge on beekeeping, raw honey, traditional Jamaican herbs, and everyday sustainable living.
This space was created to document real work in the field. From managing bees and harvesting hive products to exploring the traditional plant knowledge that has long supported Jamaican wellness practices.
WHO I AM
My name is Yanique White-Taylor. I am a Jamaican beekeeper, herbal educator, and co-founder of Bee Sweet Honey Jamaica.
My work is rooted in hands-on experience with bees, herbs, and natural product creation. Over time, I have developed a deep respect for the connection between pollinators, plants, food systems, and human well-being.
What began as personal interest grew into a committed practice of learning, building, and sharing knowledge around bees, natural living, and Jamaican plant traditions.
MY JOURNEY INTO BEEKEEPING
My journey into beekeeping began with curiosity and grew through formal training and lived experience.
In 2017, I attended training with MICAF, where I gained foundational knowledge in beekeeping practices. From there, my work expanded into practical hive management, honey production, and learning the seasonal rhythms of bees in Jamaica’s tropical environment.
Beekeeping has taught me patience, observation, and respect for natural systems. It is both a craft and a continuous learning process shaped by the land, the climate, and the bees themselves.
